About
Alonzo Gabriel is an Associate Professor at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition of the College of Home Economics, University of the Philippines-Diliman (UPD). He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (2002) and Master of Science in Food Science (2007) degrees from UPD. His PhD degree in Food Microbiology and Hygiene (2010) was from Hiroshima University, Japan. Dr. Gabriel's research interests include traditional and novel juice processing, hurdle technology, microbial stress, stress adaptation and inactivation, and food safety and defense.
